Keith Maiden - Lilly

Keith Maiden has spent the best part of two years developing his style and technique through close observation of the human face and form. His method is very basic and simple, if not a touch unorthodox, as he paints first and then draws. Keith created this piece by painting the whole picture in white acrylic first, using three sizes of pallet knife. Then he moved the paint around with his fingers to achieve the depth required.

"I try to create clean and assured lines, whilst retaining the sensitivity and emotion of the subject. My art is very rugged, raw and honest," Keith Maiden.
